What a lovely piece of information you highlight I mean most QA managers stuggle to explain the difference between precision and accurary or they don’t know an answer at all. Some will just tell you that precision is accuracy or vis versa. I like you clarification on these two important word in manufacturing environment.

    • I was an ultra precision tig welder. For part of the precision the accuracy had to be a weld that was more than adequate to hold the parts and hold tolerances most welders wouldn’t know how to hold against the heat warpage. I worked in aerospace for many years and took classes in metallurgy as well. Retired now, but wouldn’t mind a pt job.
